With such drastically different business phone system options available, it can be challenging to compare one quote to the next. Use this checklist to help you as you evaluate your options. - Is each quote for the same type of system (traditional, premises-based VoIP or hosted VoIP)?
- Does the vendor own and manage the infrastructure, or are they reselling a third-party’s services?
- Does each quote include:
- Monthly taxes and fees?
- Long-distance and international calling?
- Service and maintenance?
- Training for staff?
- Installation?
- Am I limited and/or paying for individual features/functionality? (Voicemail, call transfer, call flow, etc.)
- In terms of equipment:
- Will I own the phones?
- Will the phones work with a different provider if I want to change in the future?
- Are there warranties?
- Will I be locked into a contract? For how long?
- Will my monthly bill fluctuate?
